The book Studies on Balkan and Near Eastern Social Sciences-Volume III is a collection of research articles on a wide range of social science issues written by researchers from several different universities and institutions.

AK examines the relationship between social memory and cultural identity. TURAN, ORAL and KAYA investigate the economic impacts of the disasters occurred between 2010 and 2017 on the world economy. The study of VAROL, İYİDOĞAN and BALIKÇIOĞLU examines the relative efficiency of health expenditures among selected OECD member countries. MENTEŞ examines the critical role of the internet in global environmental activism. KAYA and TIGLI conceptually review the literature on the human rights understanding of the new world order after the cold-war era. TIGLI, KAYA and DOGAN investigate whether China’s integration to the international markets is a threat for western economies or not. AYHAN evaluates Turkey’s Operation Olive Branch in Syria from the point of cross-border use of the right of self-defense.
