Esra Aytaç Adali, Nilsen Kundakci & Ayşegül Tuş Işik An Integrated Anp and Dea Approach for the Selection Problems Introduction It has become necessary for various industrial organisations to focus on strate- gies that will help them achieve cost reduction, continual quality improvement, increased customer satisfaction, and on time delivery performance. As a result, selection of the most suitable facility location for a new organisation is one of the most important strategic issues that is required to fulfill all of these mentioned ob- jectives (Chakrabortya et al., 2013). As other sectors, in the tourism sector, tourist hotel location selection decisions have strategic importance for hotel management because they are costly and difficult to reverse and entail a long term commitment. This selection can be handled with the help of multiple criteria decision making (MCDM) methods by considering a large number of complex criteria. A robust MCDM method should consider the interactions among these criteria. Because of this, in this study, the hotel location selection problem is solved with a MCDM model that integrates Analytical Network Process (ANP) and Data En- velopment Analysis (DEA). In the literature, there are studies that integrate ANP and DEA for different purposes. For instance, Talluri and Sarkis (2002) propose a methodology for developing a control chart for manufacturing system monitoring by utilising a combination of an ANP and DEA model with added ranking ability and individual charts.
