Martin Goodman is a Post Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Leeds and a former HR director and management consultant. He has worked for major global businesses, government departments and international inter-governmental agencies.

He holds a PhD in French (Leeds), Master’s degrees in Comparative Literature (London) and Management Studies (Durham), and a diplôme approfondi de langue française from the French Education Ministry. He is a member of the International Association on Workplace Bullying and Harassment (IAWBH) and a former Chartered Fellow of the UK’s Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).

Zhi Cheng graduated from the Department of Physics of Beijing Normal University in 1988 then worked at the School of Education of Guangzhou University until 2015. He is currently an independent scholar engaged in research work on theoretical physics, sociology, and cognitive science.

He has published eight Chinese and English academic books including A Concise Introduction to General Relativity, Cognitive Development Theory.

Simon Bacon is an award-winning writer and film critic based in Poznań, Poland. He is the Series Editor for Genre Fiction and Film Companions with Peter Lang, to which he has also contributed The Gothic (2018), Horror (2019), Monsters (2020), Transmedia Cultures (2021) and The Undead in the 21st Century (2022). He has also recently launched the book series Vampire Studies: New Perspectives on the Undead at Peter Lang, for which he serves as Series Editor.

He is a widely published author and editor of over 30 titles in horror studies, vampires and the undead. He is the editor of Nosferatu in the 21st Century (2022), The Anthropocene and the Undead (2022), The Evolution of Horror (2023), and the Palgrave Handbook of the Vampire (forthcoming).

He has also published a series of monographs on vampires in popular culture: Becoming Vampire: Difference and the Vampire in Popular Culture (2016), Dracula as Absolute Other (2019), Eco-Vampires (2020), 1000 Vampires on Screen (2023), and Contagion and the Body of the Vampire (forthcoming).
