An Investigation of Collaborative Language Teaching and Learning in English Lessons in a Japanese Primary School

This book examines collaborative communication among homeroom teachers (HRTs), assistant language teachers (ALTs) and pupils during English lessons in a Japanese primary school, focusing on how they work together to facilitate language teaching and learning. The collected interaction data among the HRTs, the ALTs and the pupils were analysed to reveal what is actually happening in English classes in a Japanese primary school.
