The winners of our Linguistics and Education Studies competitions have now been announced!

Winner in Linguistics:

Dr Prafulla Basumatary
The Bodo Verb: A Descriptive–Pedagogic Study

We are also pleased to have a runner-up in the Linguistics competition: Dr Sender Dovchin, Language, Sociolinguistic Authenticity and Social Media. Both books will be published in the Contemporary Studies in Descriptive Linguistics book series, edited by Karl Bernhardt and Graeme Davis.

Winner in Education Studies:

Marina Avelar
Giving with an Agenda: How New Philanthropy Advocates for the Corporate Reform of Education

Her book will be published in the New Disciplinary Perspectives on Education book series, edited by Dr Stephen Cowden and Dr Jones Irwin.

The Peter Lang Young Scholars Competition is an annual competition in selected fields. Proposals are invited from early career scholars from selected regions. The winner of the competition in each field is offered a contract for a non-subsidized book to be published by Peter Lang.
