"The book Series "Environmental Education, Communication and Sustainability" is the world´s longest running book series on matters related to education, communication and training on sustainable development. Since it started in 1998, the book series has produced a number of ground-breaking publications focusing on environmental communication, sustainable development in formal and non-formal education, and in university programmes. Some examples of publications produced to date include "Greening the Curriculum", "Handbook of Sustainability Research" or the newly-launched book – volume 34 – "Sustainability at Universities: New Horizons" resulting from a workshop held in Rio de Janeiro parallel to the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20). DASK – Duisburger Arbeiten zur Sprach- und Kulturwissenschaft / Duisburg Papers on Research in Language and Culture

DASK presents a forum for linguistic research on the interrelationship between language and culture. The series is interdisciplinary in nature and consists of monographs and collections of papers. The main purpose of the editors is to initiate a dialogue between linguistic science and neighbouring disciplines such as sociology, anthropology, semiotics, literary studies and intercultural communication. The aim of establishing a series at the intersection of linguistic and cultural studies is to provide academics and interested students with a scientific framework for studying the interaction of language and culture. The series has been founded by Ulrich Ammon, René Dirven and Martin Pütz.

This series aims to promote specialist language studies, both in the fields of linguistic theory and applied linguistics, by publishing volumes that focus on specific aspects of language use in one or several languages and provide valuable insights into language and communication research. A cross-disciplinary approach is favoured and most European languages are accepted. «Comparatism and Society» is an interdisciplinary collection which considers literature, the arts and the humanities in a close interaction with the evolution of society and the history of ideas. Although open to a wide range of methodologies, it nevertheless favours the perspective of cross-analysis, convinced that the objective of all research should be to reach beyond the limits of linguistic, national and disciplinary borders. Comparatism and Society aims to increase contacts between university researchers and those interested in sharing results and disseminating them to a wider audience. « Comparatisme et Société » est une collection interdisciplinaire qui envisage la littérature, les arts et les sciences humaines dans une interaction étroite avec l’évolution de la société et de l’histoire des idées. Ouverte au pluralisme des méthodes d’analyse, elle privilégie toutefois la perspective des regards croisés, dans la conviction que l’objectif inhérent à toute recherche se doit de dépasser le cadre des frontières linguistiques, nationales et disciplinaires. The series Posener Beiträge zur Angewandten Linguistik was established in 2011 by Prof. Waldemar Pfeiffer and, until 2018, has been co-edited by Prof. Waldemar Pfeiffer and Prof. Camilla Badstübner-Kizik. From 2019 on, Prof. Maciej Karpiński is co-editing the series under the new title Poznan Studies in Applied Linguistics / Posener Beiträge zur Angewandten Linguistik. The series has been established in order to disseminate research by publishing monographs and edited collections of texts from the broad field of Applied Linguistics. The thematic range of books includes foreign language teaching, multilingualism, translation studies, linguistic aspects of culture, intercultural communication and mediation, multimodal communication, applications of spoken and written language resources and technology, application-oriented studies in psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics and pragmalinguistics. The series is intended to reflect and promote new trends in the applications of linguistic knowledge. We encourage contributions from young researchers and interdisciplinary studies, texts presenting new empirical research as well as new theoretical approaches. Die Reihe Posener Beiträge zur Angewandten Linguistik wurde 2011 von Prof. Waldemar Pfeiffer begründet und bis 2018 von ihm in Zusammenarbeit mit Prof. Camilla Badstübner-Kizik herausgegeben. Seit 2019 ist Prof. Maciej Karpiński als Mitherausgeber tätig, der Titel wurde erweitert in Poznań Studies in Applied Linguistics / Posener Beiträge zur Angewandten Linguistik. Die Reihe setzt sich das Ziel, Monographien, thematische Sammel- und Konferenzbände aus dem weit verstandenen Gebiet der Angewandten Linguistik einer internationalen wissenschaftlichen Diskussion zugänglich zu machen. Die thematische Spannweite umfasst innovative Arbeiten aus den Bereichen Fremdsprachendidaktik, Mehrsprachigkeitsforschung und Translationswissenschaften sowie Forschungen zu linguistischen Aspekten von Literatur-, Medien- und Kulturwissenschaften, Interkulturalität und Mediation, multimodaler Kommunikation, schriftlicher wie mündlicher Sprachlichkeit und Sprachtechnologie. LaCuLi. Language Culture Literacy

In the LaCuLi. Language Culture Literacy series, studies in foreign language research and intercultural communication will be published, as well as studies in foreign-language didactics. Research on the processes of language acquisition and language teaching, with a special focus on language awareness, cultural awareness and learner perspectives, is central to the series. It focuses on empirical research in intercultural foreign didactics as well as on cultural aspects of the workplace. Multi-perspective, multi-language and multi-cultural comparative approaches are highlighted. Fields of application are comparative analyses of political speeches, news, ads and business communication in an international context, as well as in learner texts in multi-language and multi-cultural learning environments. In der Reihe LaCuLi. Language Culture Literacy erscheinen Studien zur Fremdsprachenlehr- und -lernforschung und Interkulturellen Kommunikation sowie zur Fremdsprachendidaktik. Im Zentrum stehen Forschungsergebnisse im Bereich von Spracherwerbs- und -vermittlungsprozessen mit den Schwerpunkten Language und Cultural Awareness und Lernerperspektivität, ebenso empirische Untersuchungen zur interkulturellen Fremdsprachendidaktik sowie zu kulturellen Aspekten des Arbeitsplatzes. Im Fokus stehen mehrperspektivisch, mehrsprachig und mehrkulturell vergleichende Herangehensweisen. Anwendungsfelder sind vergleichende Analysen von politischen Reden, Nachrichten, Werbetexten und Businesskommunikation im internationalen Kontext sowie von Lernertexten in mehrsprachigen und multikulturellen Lernumgebungen.

Sport plays a large role in modern societies and is often the subject of intense media coverage. An extensive lexicon has developed around sport, both within the individual sports themselves but also in the media, and new text types and forms of media coverage have emerged that have increasingly become the subject of academic studies. The series Sport, Language, Media is designed to serve as a forum for studies of sports language and media communication. Volumes in the series will primarily focus on German-speaking regions, but comparative studies on sports language, sports media coverage and fan communication in other countries and cultures, including non-European ones, are welcome. Research on the history of individual sports languages is also encouraged. In addition to football, the ‘king’ of sports, other disciplines may also be the subject of linguistic studies to be included in the series. Book proposals are welcome and may be sent to the series editors. Der Sport nimmt im Leben moderner Gesellschaften breiten Raum ein und ist Gegenstand vielfältiger Formen der medialen Berichterstattung. In den Sportarten selbst, aber auch in den Medien sind eine umfangreiche Lexik sowie neue Textsorten und mediale Formen entstanden, die wiederholt zum Thema wissenschaftlicher Studien wurden. Für das Thema Sportsprache und Medienkommunikation soll mit der Reihe Sport, Sprache, Medien ein eigenes Forum geschaffen werden. Der Fokus der Bände liegt in erster Linie auf dem deutschsprachigen Raum, doch auch vergleichende Studien zu Sportsprache, Sportberichterstattung und Fankommunikation in anderen, auch nicht-europäischen Ländern und Kulturen sowie zur Geschichte der jeweiligen Sportsprachen sind willkommen. Neben „König" Fußball sollen in der Reihe auch andere Sportarten in den linguistischen Blick genommen werden. Manuskriptvorschläge können an die Herausgeber gerichtet werden.
