"This series encourages works of scholarship that explore the artistic and theological depths of biblical symbols. "Symbol" here means any well-known reality that is used to illuminate a more mysterious reality by means of the analogy between the two. The symbols can be objects, qualities, actions, roles, events, stories, or systems. "Exploring" symbols entails: painting a full picture of the well-known reality as the original writers and readers would have known it; establishing what the subject of the symbol was in particular instances; and seeing through the symbol to the depths of the subject. The books in this series may focus on a particular symbol (e.g. light, or shepherd, or the Exodus), on a particular type of symbolism (e.g. Paul's legal symbolism, or Flosea's personal symbolism), or on particular themes (e.g. the variety of symbols used to illuminate the mystery of human sinfulness and how those symbols are used to interpret each other). Still others may focus on particular books, such as Ezekiel or Revelation, exploring their main symbols. "

«Euroclio» is a scientific and editorial project, a network of research institutions and researchers, and an ideas forum. «Euroclio» as an editorial project consists of two aspects: the first concerns studies and documents, the second concerns tools. Both are aimed at making the results of research more accessible, and also at opening up paths through the history of European construction/integration/unification. The «Euroclio» series meets a dual objective: – to provide reference tools for research, – to provide a platform for this research in terms of the publication of results. The series thus consists of two sub-series that satisfy these requirements: the «Études et Documents» (Studies and Documents) series and the «Références» (References) series. These two series are aimed at general libraries and/or university history departments, teachers and researchers, and in certain cases, specific professional circles. « Euroclio » est un projet scientifique et éditorial, un réseau d’institutions de recherche et de chercheurs, un forum d’idées. « Euroclio », en tant que projet éditorial, comprend deux versants : le premier versant concerne les études et documents, le second versant les instruments de travail. The series «　Destini incrociati / Criss-crossed fates　» was born out of the encounter of italianist teachers and researchers working in the various francophone universities in Belgium. Multilingual, it offers both studies of a general nature and more specific contributions within the areas of Italian language, culture and literature. With no predetermined methodology, and open to the plurality of voices and skills, the series «　Destini incrociati / Criss-crossed fates　» sets out to combine academic rigour with the pleasure of reading, in publishing alternatively works with multiple authors, monographs, critical and linguistic essays, and academic books. The series has thus been conceived of as a cultural library, an ideal point of convergence for a variety of themes, projects, perspectives and new approaches. All volumes in this series passed a selection process that included double blind peer-review. Nata dallincontro di docenti e ricercatori di italianistica attivi nelle università francofone del Belgio, la collana «　Destini incrociati / Destins croisés　» raccoglie, in più lingue, studi d’insieme e interventi specifici su argomenti che pertengono alla lingua, alla cultura e alla letteratura italiana. Senza preclusioni metodologiche, aperta a voci e competenze diverse, «　Destini incrociati / Destins croisés　» si propone di coniugare rigore scientifico e piacere della lettura, alternando la pubblicazione di volumi miscellanei a monografie, di saggi critici e linguistici a edizioni di testi. La collana si presenta dunque come una biblioteca di cultura, in cui varietà di temi e progetti, novità di prospettive e approcci trovino un punto ideale di convergenza. Ogni volume della collana è stato sottoposto a una doppia revisione paritaria anonima.
