In der Buchreihe “Versicherungsrechtliche Studien“ wird zu Themen aus dem Fachbereich der Rechtswissenschaft publiziert. Die Herausgeber sind Professor Gerrit Winter sowie Professor Robert Koch. Sie beschäftigen sich in ihrer Forschung mit den Bereichen deutsches und ausländisches Privatversicherungsrecht, bürgerliches Recht sowie Rechtsvereinheitlichung und -vergleichung. Diese Themen spiegeln sich in den Studien der Reihe wider.

La collection Sécurité sociale présente des ouvrages de portée internationale sur les développements majeurs, les expériences novatrices et les principaux débats en matière de sécurité sociale et de politique sociale, ainsi que sur les résultats d'études, d'analyses et de recherches comparatives et prospectives dans ces domaines. Elle donne accès non seulement aux problèmes actuels de la sécurité sociale dans son ensemble ou de ses différents secteurs et branches mais également aux évaluations de l'impact et de l'efficacité des diverses dispositions de protection sociale. D'éminents experts issus d'organismes gestionnaires de sécurité sociale, d'institutions de recherche, de milieux universitaires et d'organisations internationales contribuent à la confection des ouvrages de cette collection. L'Association internationale de la sécurité sociale (AISS) est une organisation internationale fondée en 1927. Elle regroupe, dans les différents pays du monde, essentiellement des institutions et organismes gestionnaires de toutes les formes de protection sociale de nature obligatoire qui, en vertu des législations ou des pratiques nationales, font partie intégrante des systèmes de sécurité sociale de ces pays. L'AISS a pour objectif de coopérer, sur le plan international, à la promotion et au développement de la sécurité sociale dans le monde entier. Le siège de l'AISS est à Genève, Suisse. Urban Girls

With more attention being directed toward adolescent girls' and young women’s educational development and human rights across the globe, urban girls as an educationally and politically disenfranchised group are becoming more of the primary focus of educational, sociological, and psychological research and discourse. There is a need for theory, inquiry, and praxis that considers the dynamics of the interactions of race, class, gender, age, and spatial location on　youth education and overall socio-emotional development. The social and cultural context of where students learn, play, and work significantly shape youth's identities and agency. Similarly, gender plays an important role on students’ academic and social development. The Urban Girls series brings scholarly attention to the unique, yet diverse, cultural experiences and identities of adolescent girls and young women being socialized in urban contexts. Authors explore and theorize how young women's racialized and gendered experiences in their families, communities, and schools and larger social contexts foster agency, resilience, and resistance. Theaomai – Studien zu den performativen Künsten

The Old Greek verb theaomai – looking both with the mind’s eye and the actual eye – since the very beginning of European theatre suggests a close relation between theatre and theory. Within the act of perception the spectators, theates, relate the things they hear and see to the site of their memory and psyche. Of all the arts those who reflect the process of perception in the aesthetic form itself are performative arts. This series publishes interdisciplinary studies between theatre- and media studies as well as studies on the visual arts that analyse the social and subjective potential of the aesthetic process of looking, hearing, and reading. Das altgriechische Verb theaomai – «mit dem geistigen wie konkreten Auge schauen» – legt seit den Anfängen des europäischen Theaters eine enge Beziehung von Theater und Theorie nahe. Diese wird vom Zuschauer theates über den Akt seiner Wahrnehmung geknüpft: er verbindet konkretes Hören und Sehen mit dem Schauplatz seines Gedächtnisses und seiner Psyche. Künste, die diesen Prozess des Wahrnehmens in der ästhetischen Form selbst reflektieren, somit Denken und sinnliche Teilnahme des Rezipienten fordern, um die Sinnpotentialitäten des ästhetischen Gegenstands zu realisieren, sind performative Künste. Die Reihe veröffentlicht interdisziplinäre Studien im Übergang von Theater-, Kunst- und Medienwissenschaft, die das gesellschafts- und subjektkritische Potential des Prozesses ästhetischer Zuschauer-, Hörer- oder Leserwahrnehmung untersuchen.

Die Reihe Soziale Sicherheit umfaßt Bücher von internationaler Tragweite über bedeutende Entwicklungen, neuste Erfahrungen sowie Grundsatzdebatten auf dem Gebiet der sozialen Sicherheit und der Sozialpolitik. Außerdem präsentiert sie Ergebnisse vergleichender und zukunftsorientierter Studien, Analysen und Forschungen in diesen Bereichen. Sie bietet den Interessierten Zugang zu aktuellen Problemen der sozialen Sicherheit in ihrer Gesamtheit oder in den einzelnen Sektoren und Zweigen, sowie zu Bewertungen der Wirkung und Effizienz der unterschiedlichen Sozialschutzmaßnahmen. Die Autoren und Herausgeber der Bände in dieser Reihe sind Experten aus Trägerorganisationen der sozialen Sicherheit, Forschungsanstalten, der akademischen Welt und internationalen Organisationen. Die Internationalen Vereinigung für Soziale Sicherheit (IVSS), ist eine 1927 gegründete internationale Organisation. Sie vereint vor allem Institutionen und Verwaltungsorgane aus Ländern der ganzen Welt, die sich mit allen Formen der sozialen Sicherheit befassen, welche aufgrund der Gesetzgebung oder von nationalen Gepflogenheiten in diesen Ländern Bestandteil des Systems sind. Religious and theological reflection has often been confined to the realm of the private, the personal or the Church. In Europe this restriction of religion and theology can be traced back to the Enlightenment and has had long-lasting and pernicious consequences for the understanding of religious faith and society. On the one hand, there has been a rise in religious fundamentalisms around the globe, while, on the other hand, so-called advanced societies are constructed mainly along economic, pragmatic and rationalistic lines. Added to this is the reality that religious faith is increasingly lived out in pluralistic and multi-faith contexts with all the challenges and opportunities this offers to denominational religion. This series explores what it means to be religious in such contexts. It invites scholarly contributions to themes including patterns of secularisation, postmodern challenges to religion, and the relation of faith and culture. From a theological perspective it seeks constructive re-interpretations of traditional Christian topics – including God, creation, salvation, Christology, ecclesiology, etc. in a way that makes them more credible for today. It also welcomes studies on religion and science, and on theology and the arts. The series publishes monographs, comparative studies, interdisciplinary projects, conference proceedings and edited books. It attracts well-researched, especially interdisciplinary, studies which open new approaches to religion or focus on interesting case studies. The language of the series is English.
