This series is designed to encourage philosophers to explore new directions of research in philosophy. The underlying premise of the series is that contemporary philosophical research is impeded by an understanding of the intellectual division of labor according to which philosophy is conceived of as separate from the natural and social sciences, the arts and humanistic disciplines. Science is impoverished by the neglect of immediate attention to the metaphysical and moral questions posed by scientific developments. The arts and humanistic disciplines are also impoverished by a lack of sufficient attention to the philosophical implication of innovation in each of these areas. Philosophy for its part is in danger of grinding away on outdated problems posed by the scientific and artistic developments of past centuries. The usual remedy for this situation, inter-disciplinary work, typically falls far short of the needed re-integration of philosophy, the sciences, the arts and humanistic disciplines. The pressing problems of contemporary civilization, particularly the problems that concern the relationship between science, technology and ethical and political values, we believe, can only be adequately explored by a re-integration of philosophy with other fields. This series seeks to call attention to itself by meeting high standards of scholarship and producing work of unquestionable merit. Works in this series should contribute to the re-integration of philosophy with the natural and social sciences, technology, the arts or humanities by challenging philosophical preconceptions that block the re-integration of philosophy with other disciplines. Die Reihe beinhaltet alle wichtigen Teilgebiete der Systematischen Musikwissenschaft. Bereits 1885 wurde die Systematische Musikwissenschaft der historischen Musikwissenschaft zur Seite gestellt, sie umfasst heute die Teilgebiete Musikästhetik, -theorie, -psychologie und-soziologie. Language Testing and Evaluation

Aims and Scope The aim of this series is to provide a forum for publishing theoretical and empirical research of a high standard in all areas of language testing and evaluation. Our focus is on research into language tests and assessment tools as well as on programme evaluation in which emphasis is placed on the characteristics of the instruments themselves. It is our intention to enhance the possibilities for international scholarly debate among experts as well as to make research findings and new developments known to practitioners and the interested public worldwide. We welcome contributions in English, German or French. Zielsetzung Die Serie dient als Publikationsforum für anspruchsvolle theoretische und empirische Forschung zum Testen und Evaluieren im Bereich des Lehrens und Lernens von Sprachen. Dabei geht es sowohl um Sprachtests und Assessment-Instrumente als auch um Fragen der Sprachprogrammevaluation, bei denen die Messinstrumente selbst im Vordergrund stehen. Die Absicht ist, einerseits zur Verbesserung der internationalen wissenschaftlichen Diskussion beizutragen sowie andererseits Forschungsergebnisse und neue Entwicklungen sowohl den in der Praxis Tätigen als auch einem breiteren interessierten Publikum zugänglich zu machen. Er ist in der Tat das wichtigste Phänomen, in dem sich die Dynamik des Wirtschaftens äußert und das dem Wachstum der Wirtschaft zugrunde liegt. Auch Wirtschaftspolitik ist seit mehr als zwei Jahrzehnten weit eher "Strukturpolitik" (im weitesten Sinne, also institutionelle Strukturen eingeschlossen) als "Globalsteuerung". Statisch-statistisch gesehen haben Struktur und Strukturwandel mit ökonomischen Phänomenen auf "mittlerer" Aggregationsebene und ihrem Wandel zu tun: Sektoren, Branchen, sektorale Cluster und Netzwerke, ferner Regionen, regionale Cluster und Netzwerke sowie schließlich Betriebsgrößenklassen (wie z. B der "Mittelstand" oder Kleinstunternehmen und Existenzgründer). Diese strukturelle Dimension der Wirtschaft beschreibt zugleich das moderne Feld der Meso-Ökonomik. Zur Strukturpolitik zählen dementsprechend die sektorale Strukturpolitik (industrial policy), die heutzutage auch cluster- und netzwerkorientiert ist, einschließlich der Technologiepolitik, die regionale Strukturpolitik, einschließlich der Humankapitalförderung i. w. S., sowie die Mittelstands- und Existenzgründungsförderpolitik. Insgesamt soll mit dieser Reihe der Anspruch verfolgt werden, eine moderne, interaktive Meso-Ökonomik zu repräsentieren. Diese kann die vielfältigen Insuffizienzen reiner Mikro- und reiner Makro-Ökonomik und die vielfältigen, oft unbeabsichtigten (wenngleich oft systematischen) strukturellen Effekte von mikro- und makroökonomischen Vorgängen und mikro- und makropolitischen Aktionen aufdecken helfen und schließlich die Probleme durch adäquate privat-private und privat-öffentliche Interaktionsstrukturen einer Lösung näherbringen. Frankfurter kriminalwissenschaftliche Studien

In den “Frankfurter kriminalwissenschaftlichen Studien“ werden seit 1978 Beiträge aus dem Gebiet der Rechtswissenschaft publiziert. Die Veröffentlichungen umfassen dabei das gesamte Feld des Strafrechts und des Strafprozessrechts. Im Mittelpunkt stehen dabei auch kritische Ansätze und Fragen zur Kriminalpolitik sowie zur Rechtssoziologie. Das Herausgebergremium setzt sich aus Strafrechtsprofessoren und Rechtsphilosophen zusammen.
