Fremdsprachendidaktik inhalts- und lernerorientiert / Foreign Language Pedagogy - content- and learner-oriented

Content and Learner-oriented Foreign Language Pedagogy is dedicated to theoretical, practical and current issues in foreign language learning and teaching. One of the main focuses of Hannover's Department of Foreign Language Pedagogy is media didactics. It encompasses fields such as artistic media, fine arts and music, (volumes 1, 12 and 17) as well as digitized media. They are analyzed from the perspective of their potential contribution to language education (volumes 7 and 28). As well as discussing media-related pedagogy (also covered in volumes 1, 11, 15 and 20 on media didactics) this book series deals with teaching literature (volumes 5 and 10) and content and language integrated learning (CLIL) (volumes 9, 21 and 26). Over the last few years, empirical research has been published on learner language, assessment and the implementation of the language portfolio (volumes 23, 25 and 26). Previous publications have included work by guest researchers, and the publishers welcome ideas for future manuscripts. Co-founder: Karlheinz Hellwig Prior to publication, the quality of the works published in this series is reviewed by all editors of the series. Die Reihe Fremdsprachendidaktik inhalts- und lernerorientiert ist forschungsstrategisch wichtigen theoretischen und praktischen sowie aktuellen Fragestellungen der Fremdsprachendidaktik verpflichtet. Ein Forschungsschwerpunk der Hannoverschen Fremdsprachendidaktik liegt in der Mediendidaktik, sowohl künstlerische Medien, wie Bildende Kunst und Musik (Bände 1, 12 und 17), als auch Medien der digitalisierten Welt werden auf ihren Beitrag zu Bildung (Bände 7 und 28) befragt. Neben einer durchgängigen Behandlung von mediendidaktischen Fragestellungen, die auch durch die Publikationen zum mediendidaktischen Kolloquium (Bände 1, 11, 15 und 20) zum Ausdruck kommt, bilden Literaturunterricht (Bände 5 und 10) sowie bilingualer Sachfachunterricht (CLIL) einen weiteren Schwerpunkt (Bände 9, 21 und 26). In den letzten Jahren sind mehrere Publikationen mit vorwiegend empirischen Fragestellungen entstanden, wie z.B. zur Lernersprache, zur Leistungsmessung und zur Portfolioarbeit (Bände 23, 25 und 26). Gastherausgeberschaften kommen erfolgreich zum Einsatz und auch Manuskriptvorschläge sind erwünscht. Hispanistik im globalen Kontext offers an interdisciplinary approach to the Hispanistic world, combining Literary Studies, Media Studies, and Cultural Studies. The publications deal with the investigation and intercultural representation of contemporary culture and intellectual history by taking Iberian Studies, European Studies, Transatlantic and Global Studies into consideration. The major points of interest are the cultures of the Iberian Peninsula, their relation to each other, to Europe, to Latin America, and to cultural processes in a global context. We welcome monographs as well as multi-author volumes. Hispanic Studies in the Global Context is a peer-reviewed book series. La colección Estudios hispánicos en el contexto global. Literarische Texte gehorchen eigenen Konstruktionsprinzipien. Diese wandeln sich nicht nur im Laufe der Zeit, sondern auch innerhalb einer Epoche und im Werk eines Autors. Die Reihe Ästhetische Signaturen möchte den genuin ästhetischen und poetologischen Gehalt von Einzeltexten, Werken einzelner Autorinnen und Autoren und literarischer Epochen herausstellen. Sie macht es sich mit der Untersuchung der spezifischen Merkmale von literarischen Texten zur Aufgabe, die ästhetische Signatur von Werken und Werkgruppen herauszuarbeiten und über die Jahrhunderte hinweg zu vergleichen.

The series aims at bringing together the long-divorced disciplines of the study of language, literature and culture by inviting scholars working in each of these areas to consider the unique implications of their own field in a larger epistemic context. The interdisciplinary approach of volumes in the series should allow to develop a scholarly discourse which affords a comprehensive picture of English studies. Editors wish to include both text- and corpus-based research as well as works of theoretical concern. Monographs and collections of articles appearing in the series will focus primarily on English and American language, literature and culture, but studies with a comparative slant are also invited.

The purpose of the «French Diplomatic Documents» (DDF) is to present year on year the most significant documents relating to French Foreign Policy – preserved by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A rigorous scientific method is employed for the document selection undertaken by independent groups of scholars and historians under the direction of eminent academics. For this purpose, the groups of scholars are provided complete access to all archives, produced or received by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In order to facilitate reading, the selection of the documents published is annotated using a methodical table, footnotes and an index of names. The DDF series is an indispensable tool for information concerning the history of international relations and French diplomacy during the course of the 20th century. Social Justice Across Contexts in Education addresses how teaching for social justice, broadly defined, mediates and disrupts systemic and structural inequities across early childhood, K-12 and postsecondary disciplinary, interdisciplinary and/or transdisciplinary educational contexts. This series includes books exploring how theory informs sustainable pedagogies for social justice curriculum and instruction, and how research, methodology, and assessment can inform equitable and responsive teaching. The series constructs, advances, and supports socially just policies and practices for all individuals and groups across the spectrum of our society’s education system. The series provides sustainable models for generating theories, research, practices, and tools for social justice across contexts as a means to leverage the psychological, emotional, and cognitive growth for learners and professionals. It positions social justice as a fundamental aspect of schooling, and prepares readers to advocate for and prevent social justice from becoming marginalized by reform movements in favor of the corporatization and de-professionalization of education. The over-arching aim is to establish a true field of Social Justice Education that offers theory, knowledge, and resources for those who seek to help all learners succeed. It speaks for, about, and to classroom teachers, administrators, teacher educators, education researchers, students, and other key constituents who are committed to transforming the landscape of schools and communities.

Early Christianity in the Context of Antiquity

The series ECCA (Early Christianity in the Context of Antiquity) seeks to publish monographs and edited volumes that take as their theme early Christianity and its connections with the religion(s) and culture(s) of antiquity and late antiquity. Special attention is given to the interactions between religion and culture, as well as to the influences that diverse religions and cults had on one another. Works published in ECCA extend chronologically from the second century B.C.E. to the fifth century C.E. and geographically across the expanse of the Roman empire and its immediate neighbors. Prior to publication, the quality of the work published in this series is reviewed by the editors of the series and by members of the academic advisory board. Proposals are welcome for mongraphs or edited volumes. This series attempts to illustrate the richness and diversity of Restoration drama, a thriving theatrical production which has been long overshadowed by the brilliance of the Age of Shakespeare. The aim of the collection is to bring to light dramatic texts that have not attracted much critical attention but display the most popular generic formulas of the time and introduce a wide array of suggestive topics. The series consists of modern spelling, fully annotated editions, complete with textual commentary, glosses, as well as historical, cultural and literary references. Each of the volumes includes a critical introduction which places the text in context, discussing aspects such as authorship, the play’s response to the historical circumstances of the time, its use of theatrical conventions and stage history.

Inhalt: Aufnahme österreichischer Literatur in anderen Literaturen und vice versa; Fragen nach der Art sowie nach dem Verlauf des literarischen Rezeptionsprozesses: Übersetzungen, literarische Kritik, Auseinandersetzung mit anderen Literaturen in Gattungen wie Tagebuch und Briefwechsel; Frage nach der Übernahme bestimmter Motive und Themen aus einer anderen Literatur; literarische Polemik mit anderen Literaturen; Verlauf der Rezeption eines österreichischen Autors in anderen Sprachgebieten (z.B. die Aufnahme Thomas Bernhards im niederländischen Sprachraum, Franz Werfel und Tschechien). Fragen der Imagologie: Literatur als vermittelnde Instanz von Fremdbildern bzw. als Korrektiv dagegen; Literatur als Medium der Darstellung anderer Völker und Nationen, wobei der Österreichbezug im Vordergrund steht: z.B. Das Ungarnbild in der österreichischen Literatur, das Bild Österreichs in der niederländischen Literatur. Literarische Vermittlungsinstanzen: Rolle von Verlagen, Massenmedien (Presse, Film, Radio,) und modernenKommunikationsmitteln (Internet) für Verbreitung und Popularisierung anderer Literaturen, Bedeutung von Buchhandel, Verlagen und Druckereien für die Popularisierung ausländischer Literaturen in Österreich und umgekehrt. Fragen übergeordneter literarischer Systeme, an denen die österreichische Literatur gemeinsam mit anderen Anteil hat (z.B. Fragen nach einer homologen Struktur der mitteleuropäischen Literaturen, parallele Entwicklungstendenzen, parallele oder differierende Ausformungen einer Stilformation, wie z.B. der Moderne oder der Avantgarde in den mitteleuropäischen Literaturen); Beziehungen zwischen den verschiedenen Literaturen eines kulturgeschichtlichen Raumes, an dem die österreichische Literatur Anteil hat (Galizien, Donauraum), oder auch zwischen den Literaturen einer bestimmten geschichtlichen Epoche (z.B. Josephinismus). Fragen übergeordneter Motivkomplexe, an denen die österreichische Literatur gemeinsam mit anderen Anteil hat (z.B. die Darstellung Maria Theresia oder Franz Josephs, die Darstellung Wiens)."

Die Reihe hat zum Ziel, Arbeiten zur Sprache und Kommunikation in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern unter einem publizistischen Dach zu vereinen und die bislang disparate Forschung auf diesem Gebiet erstmals und langfristig zusammenzuführen. Die linguistische Erforschung der Sprache(n) in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern hat eine bis in das 19. Jahrhundert (und darüber hinaus) zurückreichende Tradition, wobei der Fokus lange auf den historischen mittelniederdeutschen Sprachformen sowie den basisdialektalen Varietäten, d.h. den traditionellen mecklenburgischen und pommerschen Dialekten lag. Im Kontext der neueren Dialektologie und Regionalsprachenforschung lässt sich für die letzten Jahre ein vermehrtes wissenschaftliches Interesse auch an der rezenten Regionalsprache beobachten, deren Strukturierung, Differenzierung, Entwicklung und Verwendung analysiert wird. Under the aegis of the LABEX ICCA (LABoratoire d’EXcellence ICCA) research centre, this collection contains the results of research into various cultural industries, in both traditional fields – such as the film industry, television, music or print publishing – and more recent fields such as video or video games. It focuses on an interdisciplinary perspective for studying the means of mediation and promotion, the consumption practices and the transformations induced by underlying trends such as globalisation and digitisation, which radically change both the processes for creating content and the ways of funding and distributing the content produced. Sous l’égide du LABoratoire d’EXcellence ICCA (Industries Culturelles et Création Artistique), cette collection réunit les résultats de recherches consacrées aux différentes industries culturelles, traditionnelles comme le cinéma, la télévision, la musique ou l’édition, ou plus récentes comme la vidéo ou le jeu vidéo. Elle privilégie une perspective interdisciplinaire pour étudier les dispositifs de médiation et de promotion, les pratiques de consommation et les mutations induites par des mouvements de fond comme la mondialisation ou la numérisation, qui bouleversent aussi bien les processus de création des contenus que les modes de financement et de distribution de la production.
