Schriften zur diachronen und synchronen Linguistik

Die Reihe wurde von Professor Józef Grabarek (1948-2021) gegründet. In der Schriftenreihe sollen Monographien und Sammelbände zur diachronen und synchronen Linguistik, insbesondere zur jüngeren und jüngsten Geschichte des Deutschen und zu den Entwicklungstendenzen in der deutschen Gegenwartssprache erscheinen. Ein besonderes Interesse gilt Texten der ostmitteldeutschen deutschsprachigen Kanzleisprachen des Spätmittelalters und der Frühen Neuzeit. Die Reihe versteht sich als wissenschaftliches Forum für die Sprachforscher, die sich mit der Entstehungsgeschichte der neuhochdeutschen Sprachnorm und ihrem gegenwärtigen Zustand befassen. Es sollen Forschungsergebnisse zur Geschichte und Gegenwart der Orthographie, Phonologie, Morphologie, Wortbildung sowie Satz- und Textsyntax des Deutschen den Lesern zugänglich gemacht werden.

The series explores issues in theoretical and applied linguistics, psycholinguistics, psychology of language and translation studies. While the volumes published in the series may present research in language, mind and translation seen as separate provenances, the overall aim of the series is to pinpoint possible interfaces occurring between them (for example between psycholinguistics and translation studies, psycholinguistics and cognitive linguistics, cognitive linguistics and translation, etc.) as well as to uncover mutual interaction between these branches of science and other research areas, such as philosophy, media studies, education, multimodality and culture. The books within the series focus primarily on linguistics, which remains the main theme of the series, but they also include a wide range of topics traditionally investigated by a number of neighbouring disciplines, which are interwoven with language studies and inscribe within a wider framework of contemporary linguistics. The series presents studies conducted by Polish scholars, in particular by those affiliated with Bydgoszcz, and by our colleagues and research partners representing other universities. We also welcome submissions (monographs, collections of articles and post-conference volumes) from all those interested in issues remaining within the broad scope of the series themes. Gender and the History of Institutions

The aim of this book series is to examine the history of institutions around the world through the lens of gender. Of interest are institutions established with the specific purpose of regulating gender and sexuality (e.g. the Magdalen asylums, Magdalen hospitals, penitentiaries, refuges, mother and baby institutions) as well as those with more general purposes where gender has had an important role in their operation and function (e.g. prisons, workhouses, lunatic asylums), including both religious and private organisations. The series supports the increasing interest in these institutions internationally, both in academia and in the treatment of ‘historical’ abuse. The series highlights the range of archives that can be considered in examining this history, not only in English-speaking countries but also in countries where the institutions described above have existed and determined the lives of many people. It will also broaden the conversation by widening the scope of institutions being considered. The series has as its main objective expanding the discussion of gender in reference to these lesser known institutions. At the same time, its purpose is to provide academia with a forum for discussion and a critical approach to the concepts of gender and institutions that attract both researchers and the general public. All projects undergo rigorous peer review before acceptance for publication.

The Asian American Studies series will continue to contribute to an understanding of the long neglected history, rich cultural heritage, and present position of Asian Americans in society. The series encompasses studies on all aspects of the Asian American experience, and we are committed to expanding the traditions of knowledge within the field to address vast Asian American epistemologies, communities, activities, and practices. We are looking for work which explores various facets of a transnational perspective including for example: diaspora, displacement and migratory identities, cultural hybridity, transculturation, comparative race studies, contemporary community issues, immigration politics, nationalisms, and representation. While seeking the highest standards of scholarship, the Asian American Studies series is thus a broad forum for research on diverse and complex Asian American issues. The Asian American Studies series is committed to interdisciplinary and cross cultural scholarship. The series scope is primarily in the Humanities and Social Sciences. Professor Hans-Jörg Schwenk (1959–2020) und Professor Janusz Golec haben die Reihe „Lubliner Beiträge zur Germanistik und Angewandten Linguistik” mitbegründet und bis zur Veröffentlichung des Bandes Nr. 14 mitherausgegeben. In der Reihe werden Arbeiten zur Literatur-, Kultur- und Sprachwissenschaft, sowie zur Fremdsprachendidaktik und angewandten Linguistik veröffentlicht. Die Schriftenreihe erscheint seit dem Jahr 2013 und präsentiert aktuelle Forschungsergebnisse in diesen Bereichen. Sie umfasst Monographien und Sammelbände über einzelne Autorinnen und Autoren, Gattungen und Themen aus dem Gebiet der deutschsprachigen Literatur- und Kulturgeschichte. Der Schwerpunkt linguistischer Reflexion in der Reihe liegt auf der eingehenden Erörterung applikativer Fragen, die in den Teilgebieten der Linguistik thematisiert werden. Die Reihe bietet auch Studien über die Relationen Sprache –Text – Diskurs an. In der Reihe werden einzel- sowie mehrsprachige Monographien und Sammelbände herausgegeben (Deutsch, Englisch, aber auch andere Sprachen), die ein breitgefächertes Spektrum von Themen und Aspekten in den Blick nehmen.

This series is mainly focused on English literature produced in Britain and Europe between the 1750s and the 1830s. It aims to explore the key concepts regarding Romantic texts and aesthetics, such as the relationship between the writer and the natural world; context and history; sensibility and the sublime; gender roles; language and the power of the imagination; studies of genre; slavery and abolition; migration literature, consumer literature; social transformation; critical reception; and transnational relations. The series welcomes studies on major as well as less well-known authors and literary genres, and on historical and cultural contexts of the period. Within this framework, volumes included in this series will not only expand the canon beyond traditional authors and genres, but also provide opportunities for exploring texts and contexts from new perspectives, including those of gender, cultural and translation studies. The series includes monographs, collection of essays, conference proceedings, critical editions and translations, and aims to address an international community. ALPH: Arbeiten zur Literarischen Phantastik / ALPH: Approaches to Literary Phantasy

This series has been terminated after vol. 9. ALPH: in Coleridge’s poem Kubla Khan, this is a subterranean river based on the Greek Alphaios, which connects different worlds and thus creates new spaces in secret and surprising ways. The title Alph thus stands for works of fantastic literature/phantasy to which this series devotes new and exciting studies, from all ranges of anglophone writing, but also from other languages. Interdisciplinary and comparative studies are particularly welcome. Band 9 schließt diese Reihe ab. ALPH: In Coleridges Gedicht Kubla Khan ist dies ein unterirdischer Fluss, dem griechischen Alphaios entlehnt, der verschiedene Welten verbindet und dabei auf phantastische Weise neue Räume aufdeckt. Darum geht es in den Büchern dieser Reihe, in der neue Studien zur phantastischen Literatur erscheinen, insbesondere, aber nicht nur, der englischsprachigen Welt. Interdisziplinäre und komparatistische Arbeiten sind besonders willkommen.

The series Linguistica Philologica aims to foster dialogue across boundaries among the different fields and paradigms of linguistics in a broad philological and historical context. The edited volumes, monographs, and congress proceedings cover the linguistics of the entire spectrum of languages, focusing on describing and explaining languages as systems, the oral and written use of language, and language variation, its precipitating factors and outcomes. The double-blind peer-reviewed volumes are published in English, French, Spanish, German, and Russian. La presente colección se hace eco del interés creciente en lingüística hispánica y aborda todos los enfoques teóricos que constituyen hoy día esta materia. Asume el objetivo básico de reunir, bajo un mismo criterio científico riguroso y un mismo epígrafe, la publicación y difusión de un conjunto de obras y trabajos de investigación, tanto de autores consagrados como de jóvenes lingüistas. Sus títulos se dirigen a un público amplio, que va desde el especialista avanzado hasta el estudiante en general que se interesa por un determinado tema o enfoque. De esta manera, la colección aspira a consolidarse como una referencia importante dentro de las diversas disciplinas que integran la lingüística hispánica.

Die Publikationsreihe Philologica Slavica Vindobonensia umfasst Studien zur Slavistik, Baltistik und Balkanistik. Die Monographien der Reihe beschäftigen sich insbesondere mit der Geschichte der Slawischen Sprachwissenschaft. Die Forschungsschwerpunkte der Herausgeber liegen unter anderem auf der vergleichenden slawischen Sprachwissenschaft, der Kontaktlinguistik, der Polyglossie und aktuellen und historischen Sprachwandelprozessen in slawischen Sprachen.

"inklings - Jahrbuch für Literatur" bildet ein Forum für wissenschaftliche Aufsätze zur fantastischen Literatur von den Anfängen bis zur Gegenwart, insbesondere aber zu den Autoren des Oxforder Inklings-Kreises (J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis u.a.) und deren Anregern. Die Beiträge sind nicht auf literaturwissenschaftliche Themen beschränkt, sondern beleuchten auch philosophische, theologische, kunst- und musikgeschichtliche, medienkundliche, soziologische und pädagogische Aspekte. Zwei Drittel der Aufsätze dokumentieren die Beiträge zu den Symposien der Inklings-Gesellschaft. Band 39 schließt dieses Jahrbuch ab.

La collection Études de linguistique, littérature et arts accueille les travaux rédigés en français, en espagnol ou en italien relevant des domaines de la linguistique, de la littérature et des arts du spectacle, ainsi que les études qui conjuguent de manière créative ces trois disciplines de recherche. Elle est ouverte à tout type de projet de publication (monographies, ouvrages issus des thèses universitaires, projets collectifs, actes de colloque) et s'adresse en priorité, mais non exclusivement, aux chercheurs provenant de la Pologne ou d'autres pays de l'Europe de l'Est.
