The series focuses on the point of junction between humanities, cultural studies, philosophy of technology and the engineering sciences. The principal task of this research series is to develop and promote a multidisciplinary orientation, especially regarding to the research works and projects in the fields of research policy and higher education, the comparative cultures and civilizations studies, and the interdisciplinary concept of technologies (nano, bio, info). The series results from the research projects concentrated on the significance of the humanities in the engineering education and the theories of technology. The series presents the actual state of research in the interdisciplinary perspective in form of monographs, collected volumes and dissertations. The language of the publications in the series is English and German.
