Die Reihe "Mahler-Studien. Schriftenreihe der Gustav Mahler Vereinigung Hamburg" präsentiert musikwissenschaftliche Forschungsergebnisse zu Gustav Mahler. Sie beleuchtet Aspekte seiner Biographie, seiner geistigen Welt und seines Schaffens ebenso wie die Beziehungen zu Zeitgenossen, die Rezeption seines Werkes durch spätere Komponisten und sein Wirken als Opern- und Konzertdirigent. Die Reihe publiziert Sammel- und Tagungsbände, steht jedoch auch geeigneten Habilitationsschriften, Dissertationen und anderen Monographien offen. Sie wird herausgegeben von dem Musikwissenschaftler Alexander Odefey.

The Education Management: Contexts, Constituents, and Communities (EM:c3) series includes the best scholarship on the varied dynamics of educational leadership, management, and ad-ministration across the educational continuum. In order to disseminate ideas and strate-gies useful for schools, colleges, and the education community, each book investigates critical topics missing from the extant literature and engages one or more theoretical perspectives. This series bridges the gaps between the traditional management research, practical approaches to academic administration, and the fluid nature of organizational realities. Additionally, the EM:c3 series endeavors to provide meaningful guidance on con-tinuing challenges to the effective and efficient management of educational contexts. Volumes in the series foreground important policy/praxis issues, developing professional trends, and the concerns of educational constituencies. The aim is to generate a corpus of scholarship that discusses the unique nature of education in the academic and social spaces of all school types (e.g., public, private, charter, parochial) and university types (e.g., public, private, historically black, tribal institutions, community colleges). The EM:c3 series offers thoughtful research presentations from leading experts in the fields of educational administration, higher education, organizational behavior, pub-lic administration, and related academic concentrations. Contributions represent re-search on the United States as well as other countries by comparison, address issues related to leadership at all levels of the educational system, and are written in a style ac-cessible to scholars, educational practitioners and policymakers throughout the world.

Radical Animal Studies and Total Liberation

The Radical Animal Studies and Total Liberation book series branches out of Critical Animal Studies (a field co-founded by Anthony J. Nocella II) with the argument that criticism is not enough. Action must follow theory. This series demands that scholars are engaged with their subjects both theoretically and actively via radical, revolutionary, intersectional action for total liberation. Founded in anarchism, the series provides space for scholar-activists who challenge authoritarianism and oppression in their many daily forms. Radical Animal Studies and Total Liberation promotes accessible and inclusive scholarship that is based on personal narrative as well as traditional research, and it is especially interested in the advancement of interwoven voices and perspectives from multiple radical, revolutionary social justice groups and movements such as Black Lives Matter, Idle No More, Earth First!, the Zapatistas, ADAPT, prison abolition, LGBTTQQIA rights, disability liberation, Earth Liberation Front, Animal Liberation Front, political prisoners, radical transnational feminism, environmental justice, food justice, youth justice, and Hip Hop activism.

Die Ansätze sollen zwei Ansprüchen genügen, der Innovativität und der Anwendbarkeit. Methodische Einschränkungen würden dem Ziel der Reihe widersprechen, die sich auf Beiträge, freut, die auf dieser Plattform zur Diskussion gestellt werden wollen.

The series Language and Text Studies publishes works of a broad range of research on aspects of language and text, including English, French, German, Slavonic and Baltic studies. Although its central perspective is linguistic in nature, publications also encompass literary and cultural studies. The series comprises monographs as well as anthologies. The editors Alexander Brock and Katrin Schlund are linguists at the English and Slavonic Departments of Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg. La collection Recherches linguistiques et textuelles publie des travaux relevant de la philologie des langues modernes (anglais, langues romanes, allemand, langues slaves et baltes) dans une optique linguistique. Elle s'adresse également aux travaux de recherches littéraires et interdisciplinaires portant sur l'analyse textuelle. Elle publie des monographies, mémoires de recherche, recueils thématiques et actes de colloques. Les éditeurs Alexander Brock et Katrin Schlund sont des linguistes spécialisés aux langues anglaise et slaves, travaillants à l'université Martin-Luther de Halle-Wittenberg. In der Reihe Hallesche Sprach- und Textforschung erscheinen Studien aus dem Bereich moderner Philologien (u.a. Still-existing gaps in the current knowledge on Africa are an opportunity for collective scientific efforts: if formerly stable academic boundaries can be transgressed, then these lacunas may provide a good chance to advance with new interdisciplinary designs. CEAUP (Centre of African Studies of the Porto University) is an interdisciplinary research centre working on African issues. This series allows the discussion of CEAUP’s efforts in a larger, international context. The studies to be included focus on subjects regarded as especially innovative and which may help our understanding of African current impasses: – Identity and group conflict – Patterns of change in production and labour relationships, notably forced labour – Access to natural resources, such as water, land and raw materials – State building and ‘civil society’ The series accepts monographs, collected papers and conference proceedings in English. Liberatory Stories and Rebel Voices for Abolition

Liberatory Stories and Rebel Voices for Abolition, is a grass-roots community-focused radical transformative critical decolonizing anti-authoritarian book series on the political delineations of transforming education for liberation in communities occupying Indigenous territories and stolen land on Turtle Island (North America) and beyond. This book series will provide space and place for marginalized communities, students, workers, public intellectuals, activist-scholars, teachers, professors, justice impacted people, youth, and oppressed voices to critically resist and amplify their counter-stories which demand that in the rollout of the neoliberal agendas, that public education must be affordable, inclusive, equitable, inclusive, just, transformative, and open to all. This book series foregrounds writer’s agency with authentic story-telling, autoethnography, collective biography and life writing narratives and is a place for disseminating participatory action and social justice activist research. It seeks critical teaching and critical writing that resists Eurocentric pedagogies and methodologies such as denotative reports, standardized metrics, rubrics, corporate, neoliberal, capitalist, standardized, colonial, factory education that colonizes the mind. Instead, the series privileges radical liberatory praxis and makes space for outstanding embodied action research tied to teaching, transformative participatory projects created with not ‘on’ marginalized communities that centers the margin. This book series defends, supports, and participates in revolutionary, transformative, social justice radical critical abolition movements to end authoritarianism, domination, oppression, state-violence, and repression. This book series has a hope for democracy from which knowledge from and for the margins emerge as powerful counter-currents and disruptive discourses that liberate. This book series holds space and place for these voices who brave the world with knowledge in one hand and resistance in the other to liberate all.

Emerging Markets Studies

The Peter Lang series Emerging Markets Studies includes works which address opportunities, problems, and challenges of socio-economic development and reform in so-called emerging markets. These comprise middle-income developing and transition economies which are relevant for the world economy due to a large market potential, a favorable or improving investment climate, or due to the availability of important natural resources. Emerging markets have realized or show the potential to generate sustained socio-economic development and growth processes over time. The volumes in this series seek to address three key questions: What are the determinants of successful socio-economic development, What are appropriate reform strategies to overcome impediments to catching-up processes, and how do politico-institutional factors affect the performance of an emerging economy? The scope of the series is comparative, institutionalist, and international. The overall focus of all titles is to enhance the understanding of socio-economic catching-up processes and their institutional foundations from a political-economy perspective. Due to the complexity of development processes and policy reform, various methodological tools and academic approaches may prove to be appropriate. Hence the series includes contributions from various disciplines such as economics, political science, or sociology.

Hip Hop Studies and Activism book series is the first ever book series dedicated to hip hop studies. This series is an intersectional, interdisciplinary liberatory project that promotes justice, equity, and inclusion. Hip Hop Studies and Activism book series will connect with a broad range of disciplines such as feminism, globalization, economics, science, history, environmental studies, media studies, political science, sociology, religion, anthropology, philosophy, education, and cultural studies. Against apolitical scholarship, Hip Hop studies argues for an engaged critical praxis that promotes the listening and defending space and place for marginalized and silenced communities especially Communities of Color and Youth of Color. Hip hop activism is committed to social action, advocacy, and activism, while other book series are more rooted in theory and apolitical analysis. We will therefore, make a strong effort to publish People and Youth of Color.
