The series Language, Literature, Translation (LeLiTrad) will gather research papers on the various fields related to humanistic and specialized translation approached from multidisciplinary perspectives. In the present collection, therefore, the collection would bring together papers on the translation of literary works from assumptions related to comparative studies, discourse analysis, or the relationships between literature and other arts; Also, the collection would be hosting research papers on disciplines like terminology, applied linguistics, and specialized translation in a variety of fields (such as legal, bio-sanitary, agri-food, technical, hybrid texts, veterinary sciences, economic sciences, translation for citizen security and translation for social affairs, audiovisual translation, para-translation, etc.). Next to these, research papers focused on different aspects of translation like theoretical essays and work on inter-language interpretation will also be accepted and assessed for publication. In short, the series Language, Literature, Translation aims to offer the specialized readers all theoretical and practical aspects hinging around the translation of texts and interpretation of speeches, so that they may contribute to the critical debate and the resulting enrichment of the discipline both in Spain and in the wider European context. La colección Lengua, Literatura, Traducción (LeLiTrad) reúne los distintos ámbitos relacionados con la traducción humanística y especializada desde una perspectiva multidisciplinar. En este sentido, abordamos desde esta colección la traducción literaria de obras desde presupuestos relacionados con la comparatística, el análisis del discurso, o la relación de la literatura con otras artes; por otro lado, la colección acoge trabajos sobre terminología, lingüística aplicada, y traducción especializada en sus múltiples ámbitos (jurídico, biosanitario, agroalimentario, técnico, textos híbridos, ciencias veterinarias, ciencias económicas, traducción para la inclusión, traducción para la seguridad de la ciudadanía y traducción social, traducción audiovisual, paratraducción, etc.). Junto a estos trabajos destinados a las distintas vertientes de la traducción también se contemplarán trabajos de tipo teórico sobre traductología e interpretación.En definitiva, la colección Lengua, Literatura, Traducción pretende mostrar todos los aspectos tanto teóricos como prácticos en torno a la traducción de los textos y a la interpretación de los discursos, de forma que contribuyan al debate crítico y al enriquecimiento de la disciplina dentro de España y en su contexto europeo.

Hybris: Literatura y Cultura Latinoamericanas

Since Ancient Greece and the classical era, philosophers, artists and critics have delved into the relationships between literature and other arts. First it was painting and plastic arts –ut pictura poesis, by Simónides de Ceos and Horacio–, later on music, architecture, theatrical representation, sculpture and already, in modern and contemporary times, photography, cinema, television, the mass media. At present this vast and stimulating field of cultural and artistic hybridizations has been completed with new technologies and all "transmedia narratives", generating concepts and transversal actions attached to digital creation and new communicative realities: touch-media, cross-media, intermediality, transmediality, hypertextuality, multimodality, etc. This collection, Hybris: Latin American Literature and Culture, intends, on the one hand, to investigate in the diachronic sense that these relationships have been emerging in the literary and cultural field, understood as aesthetic, practical, leveling and technical borrowing parameters between arts and, therefore the other, is to reflect from a philosophical, social, cultural and theoretical perspective on the possibilities offered by such hybridizations, always within a Latin American context. In classical mythology, Hybris was the goddess of excess, insolence, the absolute absence of moderation, and evoked the need to go beyond limits. This new concept of Hybris intends to insist on the mythological marks of transgression, erasing borders between the arts, shaking the tendency to subdivision and containment and, at the same time, it also demandings identification with the Latin term hybrida, which alludes to the racial or cultural mixing. Hybridization and symbiosis between arts will therefore be the outlines and contexts in which these studies will be invested. Desde la Antigua Grecia y la época clásica, filósofos, artistas y críticos han profundizado en las relaciones entre la literatura y otras artes. Primero fue la pintura y artes plásticas –ut pictura poesis, de Simónides de Ceos y Horacio–, más adelante la música, la arquitectura, la representación teatral, la escultura y ya, en la época moderna y contemporánea, la fotografía, el cine, la televisión, los mass media. En la actualidad este vasto y estimulante campo de hibridaciones culturales y artísticas se ha completado con las nuevas tecnologías y todas las "narrativas transmedia", generando conceptos y actuaciones transversales anejas a la creación digital y a las nuevas realidades comunicativas: touch-media, cross-media, intermedialidad, transmedialidad, hipertextualidad, multimodalidad, etc. Esta colección, Hybris: Literatura y Cultura Latinoamericanas, pretende, por un lado, indagar en el sentido diacrónico que estas relaciones han ido perfilando en el campo literario y cultural entendidos como parámetros estéticos, prácticos, de nivelación y préstamos técnicos entre artes y, por otro, reflexionar desde una perspectiva filosófica, social, cultural y teórica sobre las posibilidades que ofrecen tales hibridaciones, siempre dentro de un contexto latinoamericano. En la mitología clásica, Hybris era la diosa de la desmesura, la insolencia, la ausencia absoluta de moderación, y evocaba la necesidad de traspasar límites. Este nuevo concepto de Hybris pretende insistir en las marcas mitológicas de la transgresión, borrando fronteras entre las artes, sacudiendo la tendencia a la parcelación y a la contención y, a la vez, reclama también la identificación con el término latino hybrida, que alude a la mezcla de sangre. Hibridación y simbiosis entre artes serán, por tanto, los contornos y contextos en los que se imbricarán estos estudios.

The series provides a forum for interdisciplinary discussion of aspects of a cultural science-oriented economics. Representations of economic relationships in literature and other arts, cultural sociological studies on the relationship between art, culture and economics, linguistics and literary analysis of economic narratives and metaphors, and the importance of cultural studies concepts such as fictionality and virtuality in the context of financial economics are topics of the series. Also, studies on the design and manipulation of spaces, time management and cultural practices are within its scope. Modern American Literature

The books in the Modern American Literature: New Approaches series deal with many of the major writers known as American realists, modernists, and post-modernists from 1880 to the present. This category of writers will also include less known ethnic and minority writers, a majority of whom are African American, some are Native American, Mexican American, Japanese American, Chinese American, and others. The series might also include studies on well-known contemporary writers, such as James Dickey, Allen Ginsberg, Gary Snyder, John Barth, John Updike, and Joyce Carol Oates. In general, the series will reflect new critical approaches such as deconstructionism, new historicism, psychoanalytical criticism, gender criticism/feminism, and cultural criticism.

Phenomenology and Literature

The focus of this series is on studies using the tenets of phenomenology and its various (dogmatic and skeptical) evolutions to elucidate and interpret primarily literary works of art in the contexts of aesthetics, ontology, epistemology, axiology, hermeneutics, communication, reader response, reception, cultural and social theory. Studies of a comparative nature which straddle and/or combine the disciplines of philosophical and literary studies are distinctive features of this monograph series. Emphasis is on subjects that may advance the state of the art, set trends, generate and continue discussion, expand horizons beyond present perspectives, and/or redefine previously held notions. Approaches may center on individual works, authors, schools of phenomelogical thought, and/or abstract notions, including issues of a comparative nature spanning the cultures, languages, and literatures of several nations from the perspectives of world literature and philosophy. Transamerican Film and Literature

This series publishes scholarly contributions to the growing and ever-changing fields of film and literary studies across the Americas. Written in English or Spanish, the titles in this series include edited volumes, books by single authors, and translations of scholarly monographs. They typically investigate film and literature of the Americas, examining works and trends in relation to form, genre, culture, politics, historiography, and diverse areas of theory. The term "Transamerican" implies transnational perspectives on creative work from all over the Americas, with an emphasis on new assessments of Latin American work, but is not constrained to studies of multiple national cinemas or literatures, and may venture beyond the Americas for comparative purposes. It also encompasses studies of single works or bodies of work from the Americas whose thematics or aesthetics warrant attention from a broad scholarly readership. The mission of the series is to provide a site of dialogue and new collaborations between scholars working on Transamerican film and literary studies throughout the Americas and other continents, emphasizing the region's growing diversity of critical and theoretical perspectives on film and literature. Esta colección estará dedicada a publicar materiales sobre el cine y la literatura que se producen en el continente americano. Los materiales podrán estar escritos en español o en inglés, y podrán ser libros colectivos, trabajos elaborados por un autor individual, traducciones de estudios especializados, así como ediciones o traducciones académicas de textos literarios. En todos los casos serán textos orientados al estudio del cine y/o la literatura en la región continental, en términos de forma, género, cultura, política, historiografía o diversas áreas de la teoría. El término "transamerican" implica una perspectiva transnacional en los estudios sobre trabajos creativos de todo el continente americano, con énfasis en la región latinoamericana, pero no se limita a los estudios sobre los cines o las literaturas nacionales de múltiples países. Por otra parte, admite la exploración, con fines comparativos, de terrenos que rebasan esta región, y puede incorporar estudios sobre las obras individuales o sobre el cúmulo del trabajo de un solo autor cuyas temáticas o características estéticas merecen la atención de una amplia comunidad de lectores especializados. Die Buchreihe "Studien zur neueren Literatur" veröffentlicht Forschungsergebnisse aus dem Bereich der Germanistik und Vergleichenden Literaturwissenschaft, die sie in zwei Teilfolgen zur Diskussion stellt. Ein Teil ist Monographien vorbehalten, die ein breiteres Spektrum von literaturwissenschaftlichen Themen behandeln (Das literarische Nachtstück - Der Salon, ein kurhessisches Literaturblatt - Die chinesischen Gesandtschaftsberichte über Europa 1866 bis 1906 u.a.m.), ein anderer bietet in Sammelbänden Einzelstudien und Tagungsbeiträge (Literatur und Regionalität - Theater und Publikum im europäischen Barock - Europäische Aspekte der Aufklärung - Europäische Romane der Postmoderne u.a.m.). Die thematischen Schwerpunkte liegen in den Bereichen Neuere Deutsche Literatur und Europäische Literaturbeziehungen. The series “Münster Monographs on English Literature” comprises monographs on English Literature from its beginnings to the present day. Contributions in the field of literary theory, analyses of individual works, studies on literary tradition, on the interrelationship between literature and literary criticism, on the history of ideas and the history of science are all welcome. Monographs with a comparative and interdisciplinary approach would also fit in well with the spectrum of the series. The series lends itself to the publication in German or English. For the formal conventions of the text, we refer to the MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers, 2nd ed. (New York, 1984). A special style sheet can also be provided upon request. Contextualising Literature and Media

The series was founded and edited by prof. Dorota Filipczak (1963–2021) until the publication of volume 2. The aim of the series is to introduce new, incisive analyses of literature and media in different cultural contexts. The series will focus on the phenomena that are inderdisciplinary and dissolve the boundary between literature and media such as film, music video, computer games etc. The idea behind the series is to show how our traditional understanding of literature can be transformed by the cultural, social and technological contexts. The successive studies will be informed by the scholarly background of contemporary literary theory and media studies, while seeking to relate literature and media to the challenges of contemporary world. The books published in the series will bridge the gap between diverse discourses and involve different fields of study, e.g. philosophy, gender studies, cultural studies etc.
